Library was designed by Umi Syam and developed by Isaac White. Rebecca Halleck, Meghan Louttit, Ben Koski, Tom Giratikanon and Carla Correa also contributed.

Andrew Fischer, Suzanne Wang, and Maxine Whitely helped get Library ready for open-sourcing. The New York Times is collaborating with The Knight Foundation to find uses for Library in the wider newsnerds landscape.

This site documents how to use Library and deploy your own copy. The content for this page (and others) is retrieved from Google Docs in a shared folder by the latest release of github.com/nytimes/library. This demo site deliberately excludes some functionality that Library normally provides:

• Moving files from this Library interface fails (this is read-only)
• No authentication is required to view any of the pages on this demo site. Rather than capturing the default username via oauth, a demo.user account is assigned to all users.
